Week 9 Part 2 – Triggers & How to Heal Emotional Wounds

Triggers are feelings, thoughts, and/or physical expressions of stored pain in our body and mind. Our triggers are clues to where we need to clear and heal emotional wounds and/or negative beliefs. To master ourselves and free ourselves of pain we must become experts in what we fear, doubt, and where we harbor hurt and negativity. We must take full responsibility for how we feel. When we stop blaming others for how we feel, we learn how to change how we feel, without waiting for someone else to change. We step into our greatest personal power!

When we are triggered mentally, emotionally, and/or physically:

  • We can shift the pain by focusing on our breath and current moment sensory feeling awareness; see, touch, smell, listen to what is around you.
  • Allow yourself to feel what you feel, without lashing out or projecting on others.
  • When you are ready, take the Observer Mode to calm down
  • Journal from the Observer Mode
  • Write down all triggers that come up
  • Choose one – maybe the biggest one for today.
  • Write out all thoughts and feelings around this trigger.
  • What initiates the trigger?
  • What beliefs do you have around this trigger?
  • Where in your body do you feel this trigger?
  • When did this trigger begin? What is the emotional wound that started it?
  • How can the Love and Support of Mother and Father God help to heal this wound?
  • How can Unconditional Forgiveness help heal this wound?
  • What Affirmations feel healing?
  • How can you transform your experience with this wound and trigger into something positive for all involved?
  • What would your life be like without this wound and triggering?

Remember

God wants us to be free of pain. We are not meant to harbor pain. Now, is the time to heal All of our pain and triggers, so we can live our Highest Expression of Peace, Love, and Joy!
