Week 2 – Good Feelings & Self Care

Setting Your Foundation of Healing

On your healing journey, it’s important to set your Foundation of Self-Care. This dedication to yourself is the support you will need as you go through times of discomfort. Start now, carving out time daily for taking care of yourself. If you feel you can’t make the time, then it is not time to heal yourself. Healing takes an incredible amount of energy and awareness, and this means lots of time for rest, rejuvenation, and fun.

We must balance the intensity (and sometimes heaviness) of self-healing with good feelings and playfulness. When looking at your life and your personal healing, take the perspective of your Soul, and ask: “What does my Soul want for me?” Our Souls are on a mission, but they are also very playful and light-hearted. Find ways to take care of yourself that bring good feelings in a healthy way. I will list some for inspiration.

  • Walk in nature
  • Bubble Bath
  • Uplifting movie
  • Uplifting music
  • Exercise/Dance
  • Restorative Yoga
  • Massage/pedicure/manicure
  • Reading for pleasure
  • Creativity – Cooking/Art/Musical Instrument

Morning Prayer/Meditation

I encourage you to set aside at least 10 minutes of your morning for prayer and/or meditation. It is very supportive to connect with your Highest Power and your inner Spirit before starting your day. Setting your intention to live your day from Love and in Service to Oneness, will help you in all ways and bring good feelings.

Week 2 Journal

Asking, “What does my Soul want for me?” Write about all the things that come up through out the week. Make a list of all the healthy things you enjoy doing that create good feelings. Maybe explore some new ways. Trying new things can sometimes be wonderful!
